Life is changing.
Last weekend we announced CAC Sunday services would be moving online and our offices would be closed during the COVID-19 outbreak. In just a few days, we watched God reveal all the people and pieces we would need to begin a new series and a new way of doing church! And just like that, Sunday we gathered to worship online and this past week our staff transitioned to work remotely from their homes, using technology to stay connected as we begin to navigate these uncharted waters. Our format has changed, our offices are now in our homes, and even if the church building is closed, the church is still open. Why? Because WE ARE THE CHURCH!
As we settle into our new 'temporary' norms, where we may be in isolation, staying home or practicing social distancing, we encourage you to be the church where you are. This means making a call, sending a text or dropping a note in your neighbours' mailbox. Checking in on anyone you know who may not have local family support. Taking advantage of technology to stay connected with aging parents, family and friends who live at a distance.
PRAY. Pray for our leaders. Pray for the first responders, the doctors, nurses, emergency services and the retired medical personnel who have returned to serve their local communities and our country. Pray for our community.
Right now we are going through many changes. Let’s lean into what God is doing during this season. We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities you have around you, to care for the people around you.
God loves all of us and we love all of you.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our staff and elders.
