Care at CACAs a community, we desire to show the compassionate love of God to one another and to those in our community. Below, check out some of the ways that men and women at CAC engage in caring for one-another and the world around them. A quick way to access help is to fill out our Help Form HERE.
Visitation TeamThe visitation team of CAC is comprised of friendly, compassionate people who visit members of the congregation who are unable to attend church on a regular basis. They visit some folks in their own homes, as well as those in Long Term Care facilities and Retirement homes weekly. Training, resources, and support are provided for members of this team.
If you are interested in joining the team, let us know!
Freezer FoodAt CAC we have a freezer on-site that holds pre-made meals for people experiencing illness or disability and are struggling to prepare meals for themselves or their families. Meals are prepared by individuals in our community and stored in the freezer for folks in their time of need.
We are always looking for folks to prepare a meal and donate it to the CAC freezer. If you would like to be part of this care initiative please click HERE and let us know! Please remember we are a nut-free facility.
Parish NursingParish nursing points people to Jesus as our Great Physician. It is a ministry of healing for those who seek to be whole in body, mind, and spirit. It offers the compassion and care of a Christ-centered registered nurse (RN) and promotes congregational health, wholeness, and well-being.
Parish nurses provide health counselling and spiritual/pastoral care for people facing health challenges, while acting as a liaison between the faith community and the medical community.
These supports are provided through health education, counselling, referral, and advocacy, and assisting people in navigating the healthcare system. A parish nurse who serves with the C&MA is a registered nurse called by God, registered in their province, and has completed a parish nurse education program.
